Xiaomi launched its latest Android One smartphone today in India. Xiaomi had introduced their two new Android One smartphones Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite at a global launch event in Spain. In India, the company is launching only the Mi A2. It is the successor to the Mi A1 smartphone. The handset comes with the Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box and will get the new Android 9.0 Pie update by OTA update soon.
Now coming to the my usage experience. The device will available from pre order sale on 8th August but I thought if I share my opinions about tht Mi A2 then it will be helpful for you before the sale. After using the Xiaomi Mi A2 from past one week now am giving the surprising results of this device. Please stay tuned to get the in depth review of the Mi A2 soon.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 just having the single speaker but I have to tell that the sound quality is good and it is very loud.It also has depth effects while playing some sounds and bass. The speaker is loud and clear so you don’t need to worry about it.
Regarding the display is not fine though it is an mid-range smartphone comes with full HD+ display that you are getting but in terms of brightness I am not very happy with this display and also the auto brightness calibration is one of worst among the Xiaomi devices. The display is not well calibrated in an auto brightness and also in outdoor condtions. When we use the camera to take the greatest shots outdoor even we keep in maximum brightness the screen when we are using the camera was not very bright. The display is ok indoors but outdoors display is not up to the mark.Screen is dull and auto brightness is freaked. If you use the device in outdoors then the screen is not great and auto brightness is mad.
The device supports the Qualcomm Quick charge 2 and 3 but the charger that you are getting in the box is not a quick charger. They had bundled the normal charger that is 5V/2A charger in the box.If you want fast charger then you have to buy new one by spending some bucks on it.
This the question most of us get in this device.I was also worried about the bateery life of this device because it has 3000 mAh battery. But in other Xiaomi devices you will get atleast 4000 mAh battery.I was surprised the battery life is okay in this device but it is not great. For the full working day it will lasts. The battery stand by time is really good in this one.For the normal users it will last for a typical day.But if you are a heavy user then it might be ache for you.If you compared it with the Redmi Note 5 Pro , yes the Redmi Note 5 Pro will give you the better battery life.5 Pro will give you extra two hours of screen on time compared to Xiaomi Mi A2.Considering the given battery Mi A2 will give five hours of screen on time and it is ok.
One thing you have to notice is that the mid-range smartphones does not handle HDR or UHD.Only the flagship phones have this campability. This device have only full HD screen. No UHD or HDR.
The handset turns little bit warm.If you heavily using it then it will turns heat and you can notice the heat on the back.If you are gamer then battery will drop little bit.
In 1080p it takes a half a second to focus the thing. There is also tap tto focus. It has video stability but the video is lot more stable at 1080p rather than the 4k.Even with the stabilization the video shakes.
Note 5 Pro v/s A2
The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the more valuable device but the Xiaomi Mi A2 only give stock Android experience. The fully package is Redmi Note 5 Pro.The pricing also 2k less than Mi A2 and it offers even more in some areas so Redmi Note 5 Pro is the better option.
The RAM Management is not good.Even it is stock Android the apps running out quickly within some minutes. This one has surprised me a lot.It is very irritating. The other 4GB RAM smartphones RAM Management is better than this.Xiaomi can fix it vis software updates.
Physical LED notification
It does have physical LED notification light and it works out of the box.
The cellular call reception on this device is good.As of now we have not noticed any issues with it.
1.Auto Brightness sensor must be fixed. It is very buggy in this device.Expecting to fix via software update.
It is very bad. Most of the time the display gets on automatically in call.Even sometimes the speaker turns on.There is a proximity issue. In long calls the screen will be light up and speaker also.Hoping Xiaomi to fix it via software update.
3.Headphone jack 3.5mm
It doesnot have dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack. The Xiaomi Mi A1 is very popular because of the sound output via headphone. But you have to plug in dongle to connect your headphones.
4.Micro Sd card slot
It is the expected thing in mid-range smartphones now a days but in Mi A2 like the premium smartphones you are not getting the Micro Sd card slot. You can add upto two nano sim to this device.
The RAM Management must be improved. It is not terrible. But it is not good for Android One device.
Stay tuned to get the full in depth review of Xiaomi Mi A2.There is lot of competation is set in the market.Honor Play is the good device in this segment.I was shocked after I saw the pricing of the Honor Play. The pricing of Honor Play is very aggressive. The Honor Play performance is very close to Snapdragon 835.Xiaomi has to be very careful in specs and pricing.Xiaomi is popular because of providing quality products in low prices. The pricing of Xiaomi devices is not so aggressive in the market. There is lot of competation going on.Lets see will Xiaomi fix this issues and compete with Asus and Honor in this price range.Again the Redmi Note 5 Pro offers value for money in the mid-range price segment.
